TikTok Nano-Influencer Engagement Rate 2026
TikTok accounts with 1,000 to 5,000 followers averaged a 4.40% engagement rate by views in 2025, the highest of any account size in Socialinsider’s benchmark of 2 million videos. Accounts with 100,000 to 1 million followers averaged 3.95%. This post covers what the nano tier earns per video, how the two competing engagement formulas differ, and where brand demand sits for 2026.

How High Is the TikTok Nano-Influencer Engagement Rate?
Socialinsider measures engagement by views: likes, comments, shares and saves divided by views. On that formula, the 1K–5K tier led every page size in 2025 at 4.40%, up from 4.20% a year earlier.
The spread across tiers is narrower than most tier comparisons suggest. The weakest band was 50K–100K at 3.75%, a gap of 0.65 percentage points from the top.
| Page size | Engagement by views, 2024 | Engagement by views, 2025 |
|---|---|---|
| 1K–5K | 4.20% | 4.40% |
| 5K–10K | 3.85% | 4.00% |
| 10K–50K | 3.80% | 3.90% |
| 50K–100K | 3.75% | 3.75% |
| 100K–1M | 3.95% | 3.95% |

At platform level, engagement by views held between 4.20% and 4.30% for five straight quarters, from Q1 2025 through Q1 2026. It fell to 3.85% in Q2 2026, an 8% drop against the prior quarter.
TikTok Nano-Influencer Engagement Rate: Views vs Followers
Two denominators are in circulation, and they are not interchangeable. Quid, formerly Rival IQ, divides total interactions by follower count and reports a 2.01% all-industry median for TikTok in its 2026 report.
That figure covers brand accounts, not creators: 150 companies selected at random from each of 18 industries. TikTok still led every platform Quid tracks.
| Platform | Median engagement rate by follower count |
|---|---|
| TikTok | 2.01% |
| 0.30% | |
| YouTube | 0.21% |
| X | 0.03% |

A 4.40% by-views rate and a 2.01% by-followers median describe different things. Comparing a nano creator’s by-views number against a brand median by followers is the most common way these benchmarks get misread.
What TikTok Nano Accounts Get Per Post
Rates stay flat as accounts scale, but raw interaction counts do not. A 1K–5K account averaged 330 likes, 8 comments and 40 shares per video in 2025.
The 100K–1M tier averaged 7,900 likes and 477 shares over the same year. Shares grew fastest at the top: from 330 to 477 per post between 2024 and 2025.
| Page size | Likes per post | Comments per post | Shares per post |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1K–5K | 330 | 8 | 40 |
| 5K–10K | 595 | 15 | 60 |
| 10K–50K | 1,325 | 25 | 120 |
| 50K–100K | 2,675 | 40 | 200 |
| 100K–1M | 7,900 | 100 | 477 |

Views split by account size
Views moved in opposite directions depending on tier. The 1K–5K band fell from 860 to 350 average views per post, while 100K–1M climbed from 25,198 to 34,900.
| Page size | Average views per post, 2024 | Average views per post, 2025 |
|---|---|---|
| 1K–5K | 860 | 350 |
| 5K–10K | 1,575 | 945 |
| 10K–50K | 3,655 | 3,240 |
| 50K–100K | 8,688 | 9,900 |
| 100K–1M | 25,198 | 34,900 |

Falling views with a rising engagement rate is arithmetically consistent: the denominator shrank. Production choices sit downstream of that, from hook length to voiceover, and free tools cover the last part, including a Jessie TikTok voice generator and a storyteller voice option.
Follower Growth Behind the TikTok Nano-Influencer Engagement Rate
Every page size grew more slowly in 2025 than in 2024. The 1K–5K tier dropped from a 269% follower growth rate to 150%, the sharpest fall of the five bands.
| Page size | Follower growth rate, 2024 | Follower growth rate, 2025 |
|---|---|---|
| 1K–5K | 269% | 150% |
| 5K–10K | 166% | 115% |
| 10K–50K | 86% | 60% |
| 50K–100K | 55% | 45% |
| 100K–1M | 33% | 30% |

Why the TikTok Nano-Influencer Engagement Rate Stays Ahead
Distribution is the mechanism. Metricool found the For You feed drove 72.70% of TikTok video views in its 2026 study of 2,314,756 posts across more than 92,000 accounts, comparing January–February 2025 with January–February 2026.
Per-post performance fell across the same window. Video views dropped 31.30%, reach 28.73% and interactions 31.17%, while video volume rose 72.10% and image or carousel posts rose nearly 140%.
Metricool also recorded that 16.47% of TikTok accounts moved into a higher follower category over the year, ahead of Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, X and Pinterest. Posts containing a question drew 26.19% more comments.
Comment prompts and audio style are the two levers small accounts control without a budget. TTS Vibes publishes a narration voice generator and a funny voice tool for that second part.
How Sources Define a TikTok Nano-Influencer
There is no shared cutoff. HypeAuditor uses a single 1K–10K band, Socialinsider splits the same range in two, and Metricool starts its smallest bucket at zero.
| Source | Smallest tiers, by followers |
|---|---|
| HypeAuditor, State of Influencer Marketing 2025 (2024 data) | Nano: 1K–10K |
| Socialinsider, 2026 TikTok Benchmarks | 1K–5K and 5K–10K |
| Metricool, 2026 studies | Tiny: 0–2K; Small: 2K–10K |

The definition matters for benchmarking. HypeAuditor reported that nano-influencers made up 87.7% of TikTok creators in its 2024 dataset of 104 million TikTok accounts.
Brand Demand for Nano Creators in 2026
Influencer Marketing Hub surveyed 600+ marketing professionals for its 2026 benchmark report, published in May 2026. Among those answering the nano question, 51.43% planned to expand that tier and 10.00% planned to cut or stop it.
Macro was the only tier where the two sides matched: 20.59% expansion against 20.58% contraction.
| Creator tier | Expansion intent | Contraction intent |
|---|---|---|
| Micro | 52.83% | 7.55% |
| Nano | 51.43% | 10.00% |
| UGC creators | 50.00% | 0% |
| Mid-tier | 42.42% | 21.21% |
| Celebrity | 33.33% | 0% |
| Macro | 20.59% | 20.58% |

Pricing follows the same direction. Nano accounted for 29.54% of all cost-range selections, the most of any tier, and roughly 55% of nano responses placed a creator under $500. TikTok was the most selected platform for 2026 investment intent at 31%.
Rising creator costs ranked as the top challenge at 35.4% of selections. Fake or bot followers made up 56.5% of reported fraud and quality issues, which is why the engagement rate on its own is a weak screen. Creators refining audio while building that trust can test a female voice generator or a character voice set against their own retention data.
