TikTok does not publish one. Its quarterly Community Guidelines Enforcement Reports count removed videos, comments and accounts, not followers lost per creator.
Third-party trackers fill part of the gap. Social Blade logs a daily follower total, and for large accounts that total moves in steps of 100,000.

Only net movement shows. A creator can lose and gain thousands of followers in a day and record no change at all.
Three kinds of loss do leave a public trail: planned mass unfollows, backlash waves after a controversy, and TikTok’s removal of fake accounts.
Follower totals also say little about reach, a gap tracked in data on how interaction thins out as follower counts climb.
Fake Account Purges: 86,288,705 Removed in Q1 2026
TikTok’s Community Guidelines state that when it detects inauthentic metrics, it removes fake likes, followers and other inflated signals. For the accounts those fakes followed, each purge is churn they did not choose.
TikTok removed 86,288,705 fake accounts from January to March 2026. The October to December 2025 figure was 143,834,113. Both counts measure accounts removed, not follow relationships.

Europe has a ratio figure. Fake accounts averaged 2.46% of EU monthly active users in the second half of 2025, and impersonation accounts 0.005%.

Fake Follower Totals TikTok Has Published
The last global fake-follower totals cover the first half of 2024. TikTok removed over 207 million fake followers and prevented over 15 billion fake follow requests in that period.
For the first half of 2025, TikTok said fake follower removals dropped back in line with historical trends.

Moldova’s pre-election window gives a recent country figure. Between 1 July and 9 September 2025, TikTok removed 1.6 million fake followers there and prevented over 1.4 million fake follow requests.

James Charles is the most recent large test case. Social Blade shows him at 39,300,000 TikTok followers from 1 to 9 September 2026, then 39,200,000 from 10 September.

Spirit Airlines Video, May 2026
Charles posted, then deleted, a TikTok mocking a former Spirit Airlines employee who had asked him to donate $1,600 to her GoFundMe. Interview Magazine reported on 22 May 2026 that he had since lost millions of followers, leaving about 39 million.
No outlet reviewed here published an exact TikTok loss for that wave.
In July 2026, The Big Lead reported one creator’s claim that he had to unfollow Charles four times before it held. The outlet’s own test followed and unfollowed the account on the first try.

Evan Johnson Allegations, May 2025
A year earlier, Charles lost 700,000 TikTok followers over several days, Dexerto reported on 8 May 2025, citing Social Blade. On a base of about 40 million, that is a churn rate near 1.75%.
The wave followed a viral 30 April 2025 video about his relationship with influencer Evan Johnson. Charles responded that he does not support Johnson, and his YouTube channel was not affected at the time.

TikTok Follower Churn Rate Triggers in the Pacsun 2026 Youth Report
Conduct outranks disclosure. Bullying or harassment of others would make 49.5% of U.S. 11- to 24-year-olds unfollow a creator, per Pacsun’s 2026 Youth Report with GlobalData.

The sample is representative by age, gender, region and household income. Respondents could name several behaviours, so the shares overlap and cannot be added. The question covers creators in general, not TikTok alone.
The top three triggers sit within 2.8 points of each other. Failing to disclose paid partnerships drew 22.6%, a gap also visible in sponsored versus organic TikTok engagement.
Only 7% said they do not believe in cancel culture at all.
TikTok organic content drives new brand discovery for 27.8% of respondents, ahead of TikTok Shop at 18.6%. Influencers never exceed an 11% share of trust in any category the report measured.

Planned Unfollows: Vexbolts Lost About 62% in Hours
Vexbolts had 4.9 million TikTok followers on 24 September 2026, per Social Blade. Twenty-one months earlier, his count swung through a coordinated unfollow.
In the last week of December 2024, users followed him only to join a 31 December unfollow. His count rose from roughly 1.5 million to just over 8.5 million.
By the first hours of 1 January 2025, he was down to 3.2 million. That is a loss of over 5 million, or about 62% of the peak, based on Dexerto’s figures.
Nearly 1 million of those unfollows landed the second the year turned.

His “funeral” livestream drew over 996,000 concurrent viewers, a count Dexerto attributed to NoahGlennCarter. That sits far above typical TikTok Live audience sizes.
Charles’s 2025 wave removed about 1.75% of an established audience. Vexbolts shed about 62% of a follower base built to leave, and still sits above his pre-campaign 1.5 million.
